Health Message (March 22, 2025)

Happy Sabbath Saints,

Seasons of Gratitude is our topic today. Let the changing seasons remind you what you're thankful for.  This simple gratitude practice will provide a mental boost that will carry you through the year. It comes from Christine Emming from 'The Simple Life.'  If you don't have a gratitude list start one today.  Write what you are thankful for each season. Grant it some things will be the same, but new things should be added.  Prayers answered gives us more to be grateful for.

The list will give you the joy of noticing all the good things around you sticking around longer and longer.  Starting now will give you reflections in November 2025.  I imagine God being extra joyful when you prepare to worship Him after many months, and you are giddy like a school kid to share with Him.

Some ideas to get started is to notice with curiosity things that happen first thing in the morning as you begin to focus on your day ahead.  What can you notice today? Make space to write and write without worry about punctuation, grammar, or capital letters-nothing should pressure you into making your list.  Reading over it will prompt you to remember other things.  Lastly, enjoy that smile, you know the one you put on while thinking of all the things God has allowed you to be thankful for.  Gratitude boosts your mental health and has been found to enhance a peaceful state of mind, and it helps you to feel lifted and lighter.

Remember Saints, 'give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Many Blessings,

Sandra Jackson
